Profitable Home Based Business

I became an Independent Team Beachbody Coach in March of 2007 but I don't think I ever started my Beachbody business until I had my very first Grand Opening. Now I became a Coach initially because I loved the products and to get a discount. Once I discovered my WHY (or reason for working the Business) things started to take shape but it wasn't until Fall 2009 that I got introduced to the fundamentals of the Game Plan.

Beachbody Coach Summit 2011 - Turn your volume up and hear me share how I have been able to teach this system to my coaches and how it has impacted their income in their first 30 days.

What was happening in my Beachbody Coach organization was that Coaches who I sponsored were starting to quit. Why? Because the $14.95 a month was too much money. When the Game Plan was first being put together I was instructed by CEO and co-founder to talk with the man behind the Game Plan, Larry Zimberg. I shared with Larry my frustrations and he asked me I did a Getting Started Right interview with them or a Grand Opening for their business. I simply and sharply stated "No" and I continued to express my concern that I felt they were icky and it put people in an obligation to buy. After a lengthy conversation I decided to do my Grand Opening and my business has radically changed as I have now been able to teach this system of having a local Grand Opening to all my Coaches who chose to join my.

Watch the videos below and they will show you my growth with my Beachbody Coach business and my fitness. Lets start with the most recent:

Square One Challenge - Good News / Bad News

Hey S1C (Square One Challenge) Posters,

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is I am back and going to start posting and updating this week. Bad news is, I'm still at Square One. My neck, shoulder and back got messed up again putting me on the side line. I just woke up last week and it was all messed up. I'm really paying the price for this injury last October and it's starting to frustrate me. I did have a realization this weekend that I am just not ready for P90X. It is putting to much strain on my physically and mentally. When I do P90X I remember where I was before my injury, what I could do, and now that I am back to the beginning and I keep straining an old injury it is frustrating to me so I'm switching to a program that I know works, that doesn't put excessive strain on my neck, back or shoulder, but I have yet to complete. That program is RevAbs.

I have started it about 3 times and every time I get to day 30 I catch the P90X bug, doubt WHY am I doing RevAbs when I should be doing P90X, I make the switch then a few weeks later, I'm sidelined. My goal is to complete a full 90 days of RevAbs starting today. I'm going to post a video today about this too. Thanks for being there for me and thank you Jillian for texting me this weekend and calling me out. I appreciate the support. Talk to you all soon,

Joey

Motivation - I am a champion!!

I am a Champion
(Transcript)

Today gentleman I am honored to Coach you
More honored to take you onto the field of battle
There is another honor to be bestowed upon you
That is the answer that comes with this question

Who am I!?
I am a champion!

I will conquer what has not been conquered
Defeat will not be in my creed
I will believe what others have doubted
I will always endeavor the prestige, honor and respect of my team
I have trained my mind and my body will follow

Who am I?
I am a champion!

I will acknowledge the fact that my opponents do not expect me to win
but I will never surrender
Weakness will not be in my heart
I will look to my comrades, to those who have brought me into this world
And those who have trained and I will draw strength from them.

Who am I?
I am a champion!

I will gladly go out into the field of battle
And I will move, groove, and do everything I can do
And I will reach my field of battle by any means at my disposal
And when I get there I will arrive violently
I will rip the heart from my enemy and leave it bleeding on the ground, because he cannot stop me

Who am I?
I am a champion!

To my side I have comrades
Comrades that have been with me through thick and thin
Through sacrifice, through blood, through sweat, though tears
Never will I let them fall, never will I let them down
And I will never leave an enemy behind
Because our opponent does not know my heart

Who am I?
I am a champion!

No one will deny me
No one will defy me
And no one will tell me who and what I am and can be
Belief will change my world
It has moved continents, and countries and put man on the moon
and it will carry me through this battle

Who am I?
I am a champion!

Defeat, retreat those are not in my words
I do not understand those definitions
I do not understand when things go wrong
I do not understand mistakes but I do understand this
I understand victory and I understand never surrendering
No matter how bad things go
My Heart and my mind will carry my body when my limbs are too weak

Who am I?
I am a champion!

Today will be that day
Not tomorrow, not next week,
but right now, right here,
in your house and in your home

Who am I?
I am a champion!

History will remember me
And I will not have to worry about him being kind
I will define myself
I will write my own praises
And no one will tell me what I can and cannot be
I will never go home, not without giving everything I have got

‘Coz who am I?
I am a champion!

Who am I?
I am a champion!

Who am I!?
I am a champion!!

WHO AM I!?
I AM A CHAMPION!!

WHO AM I!?
I AM A CHAMPION!!

WHO AM I!?
I AM A CHAMPION!!

Weekly Coach Recognition (12/16-12/22)

Hey Coaches,

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Holiday and a very Merry Christmas. This is a time to rejoyce, be happy, and start to reflect on what an amazing year 2010 has been. I hope you enjoy the holiday, and I know it is a busy time of year but give yourself that gift of exercise even if it is for 20 minutes. Get it done and enjoy the season. 2010 is quickly coming to a close and 2011 will begin with a roar. I encourage everyone to sit down with their Coach, loved one, neighbor and make a list of what you want to achiece, and when you want to achieve it in 2011. Weight lose, sick pack, help more coaches, increase income, decrease debt, whatever. Having clear goals that are written will help you to see where you are going and then make a plan to get there.

You can't run before you can walk, you can't walk before you can crawl, and in the beginning someone carried you. But it happened in that order. Someone carried you until it was time you realized what you wanted. When no one would get it for you, you figured out by scooting across the ground you could get it. Then you learned to pull yourself up. You may have fallen down from time to time but you kept picking yourself up until you found your feet. Then slowly, you put one foot in front of the other but you fell down. You may have cried until someone picked you back up but most likely you tried again on your own. You pulled yourself up, focused on your target, put one foot in front of the other until you were walking. And over time, as you grew, as you fell and learned what to do and what not to do, you got better. This is life. These are the basics.

With every new journey it is understanding there are fundamentels and a starting point we all need to master before moving to the next step. As we Master them it is important to remember that there are others just beginning that same journey. As we become better and proficient in the fundamentals, remember to teach them as if you were learning to crawl for the first time, or step on your own with no help.

Too many of us in business, in athletics, in school, in relationships, try to run before we can walk. Master the fundamentals, teach others to master the fundamentals, teach them to teach others all while you continue to stay true and focused on the fundamentals that got you were you are today and then your life is yours to own. And when that happens...pure & simple jubilation.

Learn. Do. Teach. Repeat.

Home Party Recgonition
The name of the game is Getting Started Right and creating duplication inside your organization so Coaches learn to be system dependent and the system work from you whether you are there or not.

Perfect example of this is Kimball Bocklet's Grand Opening Party. About a month ago I helped Kimball's Coach and Sister-In-Law, Terry Bocklet, have her Grand Opening. Terry turned around and helped her Coach Kimball do the same thing. Kimball made up 5 different types of Shakes for tasting. She had 8 people show up and each of them bought something. Two of them signed up for Shakeology HD! Kimball has lost 10 pounds since she started using Shakeology and is now really excited to help others do the same. Congrats Kimball!

Congrats to Andrea (Riehlman) Wallace for her Grand Opening. I was able to attend this party to support Andrea and show her and her Sponsors (Her Parents, Beth & Pete Riehlman) just how easy and fun Grand Openings are to do. Andrea had 8 people in attendance, utilzed 3rd party tools to generate exposures and answer questions and showed her new Coaches in attendance just how easy and fun Grand Openings can be if you follow the system. Great Job Andrea.

Wayne Brockman, had his grand opening and he did an outstanding job. Wayne had about 12 people attend his party and 8 were family members. This was the largest party I have been too with the most family members in one room. It was great. Wayne followed the same format as Kimball, and Andrea. His family loved Shakeology and the majority all express an interest in learning more about the Shake especially after they were able to taste it. Wayne's party also resulted in the addition to his very first Coach, his sister, Jessica Brockman. Wayne is now half way to Emerald and he will soon be adding his wife, Chrissy to his team and should advance to Emerald next Thursday. Great job Wayne!!!

THE PARADOX OF OUR AGE

We have bigger houses but smaller families;
more conveniences, but less time;
We have more degrees, but less sense;
more knowledge, but less judgement;
more experts, but more problems;
more medicines, but less healthiness;
We've been all the way to the moon and back,
but have trouble crossing the street to meet
the new neighbor.
We build more computers to hold more
information to produce more copies then ever,
but have less communication;
We have become long on quantity,
but short on quality.
These are times of fast foods
but slow digestion;
Tall men but short character;
Steep profits but shallow relationships.
It's a time when there is much in the window,
but nothing in the room.

Simple, Basic, Fundamental.

I've been hearing this a lot as I spend time out traveling, doing GSR's with new coaches and their new coaches. Launching businesses with Grand Openings and the one thing that I constantly hear is "The Coach Office is confusing" and a lot of questions about details that have no real impact on our day-2-day business. (Don't go out to do Beachbody, do Beachbody while you are out).

A new coach (about a week old) was asking me about volume and placement with a look of terror in her face as she asked me these questions. I could tell she felt that understanding how everything works was imperative to run her business. I let her know that her question, though valid, wasn't important at that time and not to concern herself with that. When I told her this, a weight from her face was lifted and she smiled and with a sound of relief she said "Oh, thank goodness."

I'm asking all my coaches to refocus. To clear of the lense and if you are new or if have been a Coach for a while just remember what it was like when you joined. Scared, overwhelmed, skeptical, cynical, and very timid.

I'm asking for all my leaders and new coaches who sponsor Coaches into this business to tread lightly on new Coaches. Get them doing simple things in their business anyone can do.

It starts with the Basic Fundamentals of the Game Plan that drives this business.

1) Get all Coaches Started Right (GSR Interview, Grand Opening)

2) 2 exposures a day. (Make a list of 10 to 20 names. 2 emails a day. "I'm fired up about this and you need to watch this video.")

3) Attend a weekly event. Local: Fit Club, Home Party, Briefing/Training. National: Summit, Game Plan Training

4) Personal Development - "Go to work harder on yourself than you do on your business." Read 10 pages of a good book, Listen to 15 minutes of a good audio,

5) Be a product of the product - 30+ minutes of exercise a day, drink your Shakeology. "You can't recommend a meal you didn't eat, a movie you didn't see, a doctor you never saw."
Repeat. You cannot do Step 2 if you didn't do Step 1. Baby steps. One foot in front of the other and allow your Coaches to grow into this business.

It's a simple business. It's not easy, you still have to do it but it's a simple business and people love to complicate it. The best marketing tool, the best "pitch" is your own passion for a product that you experienced. You are the 20 second commerical. No one will ever argue with your passion, or your WHY. Become an expert on your 20 second commercial. "I got started b/c I lost weight, got in shape, love helping people. The products are awesome and you need to watch this video ASAP. You'll be glad you did." Then get out of the way and let the 3rd party tool play.

You don't have to be great at this business, you just have to be busy. Busy sharing your 20 second commercial, accompanied with a 3rd party tool, then followed up with a call asking "What did you like, the fitness, the business or both?" Sort don't sell, work with the willing and repeat.

BRING IT!!

Joey

HOME PARTY RECOGNITION:
Terry Bocklet
, Diamond Coach, had her very first Beachbody Home party on the 4th. I was able to be there live in attendance because I was traveling down to Long Island for a Tony Horton Super Saturday workout. Terry's party went extremely well. She had 16 people in attendance, 4 were new coaches. Terry retailed one Ten Minute Trainer, a Shakeology workout and I believe a Shakeolgy HD order. Terry also had a brand new Coach in attendance who brought two friends. This Coach told Terry she was only being a Coach for the discount and wasn't looking to make any money. Both of her guest after watching Introducing Team Beachbody video and tasting Shakeology decided to order Shakeology HD. Because Terry did her party, she helped a new Coach make some money and help two friends get started towards a better, more healthy life with Shakeology.

Annette Brown is a brand new Coach who has been drinking Shakeology for the last 6 months as a customer. I messaged Annette one day on Facebook and I told her I was tired of taking her $30 with each order and that it was time to become a Coach. Annette agreed and enrolled. We did her Getting Started Right and scheduled her launch party. Annette had two guests attend, her mother and her sister. After watching the Introducing Team Beachbody video Annette's sister decided that she wanted to get in the Shakeology business and joined her sister in this new Adventure.

Kisha Scott is another brand new Coach who has a passion for health, fitness and helping people. I helped Kisha do her home party via Skype and Kisha also had two guests attend. They watched the Introducing Team Beachbody video and had some Shakeology. Both guests are extremely interested in learning more about the Coach Opportunity and Shakeology. Kisha will follow up with her friends and if it's the right time will invite them to get started, if not kisha will continue to do her 2 exposures and continue to sow the seed.

Marc Martinez is a veteran Diamond Coach. He's been a customer of Beachbody's for ages, and a Coach on my team for almost two years. Like myself one year ago, Marc neve did a Home Party. With constent poking and prodding by me telling him "Marc, we are not talking until I get a date for your home party", we set the date and followed the system to lauch his party. Marc had 6 people in attendance, 3 were local Coaches who after the party were inspired to set a date to their parties. Marc also had three guests and one of the 3 made the decision to join Marc and his team of Active Caring Coaches.
