P90X Saved My Life Last Night.

So P90X saved my life last night. That may be a bit of an exaggeration but if it wasn't for P90X and the current condition that I am in I could have been extremly hurt last night. My lacrosse team and I just finished Legs & Back and then we did Abs/Core Plus cause there was only 4 of us. Any ways, I started my secondary observation hours on Thursday and they started to bust my chops about my signature which read Beachbody in the email. I told them what that ment, I'm a coach, distributer of the products, yada yada. They went from busting my chops to wanting to know more in a blink of an eye. Long story short, after our workout, one of the they phys ed teachers who I'm observing was working the basketball game and and I dropped off my extra copy of P90X for him to try. After explaining a few things, I said good bye and started to walk away. Let me preface this: I'm up here in western NY, we have a lot of snow. When people walk into a gym without cleaning off their shoes what happens? The snow melts, turns to water and water on a gym floor turns into a slip and slide really fast. That's what happened, I turned to leave and both of my feet went straight out from under me. Down I went and in a blink of an eye, I rolled to my left, caught myself with my left and right hand and pushed right back up. My body never hit the ground. My left wrist was sore from the impact but normally when someone falls like I did, you're on your A$$ looking up. It was actually pretty cool and I wish someone filmed it. I was amazed as to how my body just reacted.

I was thinking about this for a while because in my advanced weight lifting class we have to have a purpose for training. My purpose is functional. Overall health and wellness and if something happens that I need to react to, my body won't be the obstacle but will be the support that will allow me to do what needs to be down.

That's my story. Thanks for reading.

Later,

Joey
